Design, color, & texture, artfully balanced
About me
Let’s start with “Furniture….
Furniture, home and commercial design have long been a true passion of mine. At a young age, I rearranged the furniture in my bedroom on a weekly basis and repainted the walls as often as I could get away with. I wanted to see how color, pattern and structure changed a room’s personality. Later, I remember formal martini parties hosted by my parents in the living room. I appreciated the history of antiques and precious bobbles passed down from generations. I learned to mix in these treasures with modern pieces that together, created a unique sense of style. As my design approach developed, I launched businesses including a restaurant and a furniture store that played to my passions. I have a mid-century flair and love the quality of furniture built during this era. I am particularly inspired by the works of Florence Knoll and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Over time, I’ve learned to follow my heart and trust my gut – not necessarily what’s trending. Taking risks and making bold choices is part of who I am, as a person and a designer. But most of all, I want to create spaces that exude a feeling of warmth and coziness that draws people in.
